Study Table

Our team has a study table program.  Right after school the players report to the cafeteria.  We allot 30 minutes for the players and managers to work on school assignments and homework.  One coach and some of the managers volunteer to help the players with their assignments if needed.  Players are expected to keep current with their assignments and teachers often let us know if they are not.

This past season the program was a great success.  We did not lose any players to grades at the 3 week grade check.  In the past, the team would lose up to 14 players due to grades.  We look forward to keeping this practice in place in the future.  Not only does it make for better grades on report cards, but it shows the players that we really mean it when we say that grades are important.
