9/10  Scrimmage with Wyandotte

7th

The seventh grade was out scored 2 touchdowns to none.  The bright spot is that the defense kept them to small gains and the coaching staff was able

to better assess where people should play.

8th

Our first squad out scored Wyandotte 7 touchdowns to 4.  Our second squad gave up 4 and scored 2.  Overall we show great promise for the rest of the season. 

Both

On Saturday we will run our mini camp.  Many of our problems should resolve themselves then.  The rest of the year should be a typical Bulldog Football year. 

Remember:   The team reports at 8:30 AM Saturday.  We will practice till 11:15 and take a break for a pot luck lunch.  We will then go back to practice around 12:30 and finish at 5:00 PM.

9/17  Southgate

7th

The seventh grade got off to a slow start with a 23-6 loss to Southgate. 

Joseph Collins (15) scored the only touchdown on a 3 yard run.  Charles Cole (1) completed 3 passes with a couple of others called back due to penalties.  Collins was the leading rusher with 73 yards.

Malik Greene (34) was the top defensive player.  He was in on 15 tackles.  Collins (15) was second with 6.  The game showed that we have a lot of work to do.  We are looking forward to turning things around.

8th

The eighth grade got off to a good start with a 20-0 shut-out of Southgate Davidson.  Gerald Collins (22) made two touchdowns and Lilbert Gregory (24) made one touchdown and an extra point.

On defence Levi Eddings (55) made 9 tackles while Gregory was second with 7.  Collins got credit for a pass interception.

While starting with a win, we still have some rough edges to work out. 

9/24 Lincoln Park

7th

Stats are not available.  We will try to reconstruct them from game tapes if available.

Coach Valentine reported that Matthew Eldridge (12) and Dion Stuart (84) combined for some impressive yards while passing.  He also mentioned Malik Green (34) and Trenell Whitworth (24) as being impressive on offence.  This section will be revised when I can get more details.

8th

Lilbert Gregory (24) had a very impressive game.  He made 4 tackles, an extra point, two touchdowns, recovered a fumble, and ran one carry for 50 yards.  Arthur Carter (20) ran back a kick-off for 80 yards and a TD.  Joseph Marsh (25) made a game high 8 tackles including a sack of the quarterback, carried the ball for 65 total yards and made a TD.  Gerald Collins (22) made a TD and 3 tackles. 

Darnell Fields (1) did a super job at quarterback.  He ran the offence well and completed 3 of 4 passes.  Levi Eddings (55), Tyson Jones (32), Gregory Tanner (32) Anthony Bussell (62), and Stefon Mallard (85) each had 4 tackles.  Lincoln Park was very limited as to what they could do when these guys were playing.

10/1 Belleville North

Dion Stuart (84) scored a Touchdown and Malik Green (34) scored both a TD and an extra point for the Bulldogs.  Trenell Whitworth (24) ran for a total of 47 yards while Donovan Williams (25) added 77.  Malik Green had the most carries (13) for about 65 yards.

On Defense, Dion Stewart had the highest number of tackles at 6.  Trenell Whitworth (24) was next with 5.  Jaquan Jones added 2 and had a sack.

8th

Darnell Fields (1) passes for 3 touchdowns (most ever in a Bulldog game).  Terrance Carter (10) passed for one touchdown.  Lilbert Gregory (24) scored 3 touchdowns and ran for 113 yards.  Joseph Marsh (25) added a TD and a fumble recovery.  Gerald Collins (22) had a Td and an extra point.  Tyson Jones (32) got the other 3 point after Touchdown conversions.

On defense, Levi Eddings (55) got 7 tackles and a sack.  Jason Card (68) was second in tackles with 5.

10/8 Belleville South

7th

Matthew Eldridge (12) passed for two touchdowns, both to Dion Stewart (84).  One play went for 38 yards, the other for 43.

Trenell Whitworth (24) had the most tackles with 5.  Marcus Madison (81) and Dnovan Williams (25) each made 4 tackles.  Malik Carter (42) recovered a fumble.

8th

Lilbert Gregory (24) had another very impressive game running for 2 touchdowns (one for 79 yards) and making 5 tackles.  Darnell Fields (1) completed 4 passes, and made 2 extra point attempts (4 points).  Gerald Collins (22), Tyson Jones (32) and Stefon Mallard (85) each made a touchdown.

Levi Eddings (55) added 15 more tackles to his total for the year while Christian Mascorro (53) made 7.  Joseph Marsh (25) had 6 tackles while Todd Grahm (86) had 5.

10/15 Riverside

7th

Trenell Whitworth (24) had a super game.  He scored all 4 touchdowns, recovered 2 fumbles ran for 135 yards and made 9 tackles.  Malik Green (34) added the extra point and made 11 tackles.

Matthew Eldridge(12) passed for two touchdowns and his kick-offs kept the Ravens on the wrong side of the 50 6 times.

8th

Levi Eddings (55) made12 tackles and recovered a fumble.  Libert Gregory (24) added 8 tackles, two fumble recoveries, a touchdown and ran for 65 yards.  Darnell Fields (1) ran for one touchdown and kicked his 3rd extra point for the season.  Caleb Sims (15) had a touchdown as well as Joseph Marsh (25).  Gerald Collins (22) toped the scoring with two touchdowns.
